America is the home to many of the greatest tennis players ever to grace this wonderful sport. America is a sport mad country and tennis is as popular an individual sport as any. Along with great players go some of the finest coaches and fabulous facilities. You too can be part of this!

Thousands of tennis players compete at University level each year. All have two common goals, the desire to excel in their sport and gain a degree. While many top players of today's era will head straight for the pro's, there is a lot to be said for gaining a degree first. Amongst the greats to go to college in the States are John McEnroe (Stanford), Arthur Ashe (UCLA) and Todd Martin (Northwestern). James Blake who has been in the top twenty in the ATP rankings states, "For me, going to college was the best option. I wasn't physically or mentally ready to go pro when I was 17 years old."

Tennis in America is not just for the elite. Sports-ed is happy to tell you we have contacts with coaches at all levels across the country. We can place most top tennis players in this country somewhere in the United States. Gaining a tennis scholarship is the perfect way to combine your favourite sport and studying for a degree.

I'd just like to thank you for all your hard work over the last year. I leave tomorrow to embark on one of the biggest adventures of my life. It seems a far cry from us working on the video footage at David Lloyd with coach. All the hard work has paid off ill keep you posted on the season!

On completion of our on-line application form, each applicant will receive:

» An acknowledgment via telephone or e-mail

» An information pack, outlining the services of sports-ed

» An appointment with one of our fully qualified sports assessors to personally assess your sporting abilities

If successful, you will be given the opportunity of joining our database of outstanding academic/sporting scholars and attend our offices for interview

Once on-board, you will receive the total commitment of the sports-ed.com team in obtaining a suitable overseas academic/sports scholarship, Visa application and SAT testing.
